A Sunday night crash near Tombstone resulted in the death of three fathers and motorcycle enthusiasts.
“Three fathers were not home for Thanksgiving yesterday and won’t be able to go to work tomorrow,” said Milcc Walker, the head prospect of the Chosen Few Motorcycle Club, to which all three belonged.
At about 6 p.m., the three motorcyclists and an SUV driver were traveling east on State Route 80 between Benson and Tombstone when the red Infinity SUV crossed the median and crashed into the three riders, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Impairment is suspected, a Department of Public Safety spokesperson said.
Two of the riders, Anthony Odell Davis, 37, of Maricopa, known as Outti, and Bennie Dansby, 40, known as Slim, of Glendale, died at the scene. The third rider, James Maurice Samuel, 55, of Maricopa, known as ShoNuff, was taken to a Tucson-area hospital and was pronounced dead.
“I really hope that society, what the community sees is that three fathers were taken from their families on this holiday weekend because a dude decided to get drunk and drive off,” Walker said.

According to Walker, the three had decided to drive down to Tombstone and see the town. They had stopped in Tucson for breakfast with other club members, like Terry Fields. The collision occurred as they were on their way back from Tombstone.
The SUV driver has been identified as a 41-year-old man from Huachuca City. He was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Criminal charges are pending until the investigation’s completion, a Department of Public Safety spokesperson said.
“I’m going to flood that (court) room if I can, because you just killed three guys,” Walker said. “I’m definitely going to make sure that this club and these families are in that courtroom to show what that man took from everybody.”
Walker said that between the three men, there are about 25 children and grandchildren.
“These three men specifically took care of their families, who were the heads of the households,” he said. “That man just took three men from their families with a lot of kids that they left behind.”
