A GoFundMe has been set up for Anthony Klenner, battalion chief of the Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department, who recently underwent emergency surgery after a motorcycle accident on Monday.

According to the GoFundMe organized by East Valley Firefighters Member Services on behalf of Klenner’s wife, Klenner had to have his right leg amputated above the knee and suffered a broken pelvis and rib. The accident occurred near U.S. 60 and Ellsworth Road.

The town of Queen Creek told The Arizona Republic in a statement that Klenner is “in good spirits and appreciates all of the support”.

Klenner has been with the Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department for 16 years and was promoted in December of 2023. At the time of the accident, it was reported that he is only four years away from retirement.
